iBUYPOWER's second edition of the online Invitational tournament will see a doubled prize pot of $10,000 up for grabs to eight teams. iBUYPOWER's venture into hosting their own tournaments commenced in February, when the computer company waded into North American waters with a $5,000 Invitational. That tournament was ultimately won by CLG, who trumped Liquid 2-0 in the grand final. iBUYPOWER will again be partnering with Intel to bring forth their Summer Invitational, this time with $10,000 as the total prize-pool. Seven teams have received direct invites to the online tournament (including Keyd Stars, who are currently living in the US), which will run on June 20-21 in a best-of-three single elimination bracket. The eighth team will qualify via the MSI x iBP qualifier, which itself is a series of three weekends of tournaments hosted by CEVO.
